When Jesse's older brother David was born, there was an agreement between his parents. If it was a girl, his Papa would pick the name, a boy would be selected by his Mother. The "losing" parent would pick the name of the next child!
Jesse Lynn Tait was named by his Father, D. aLan Tait, in honor of his Uncle Jesse Ellis Tait (1950-November-15 - 2011-May-20) and his Aunt Lynn (Tait) Simpson.
Jesse's Papa told people before he was born, "Boy or girl, he will be Jesse Lynn, only the spelling will change!" (Jessie for a girl!)
